Networking with the World - B.C. on World Stage During 2010 and Beyond

Creating a showcase for economic opportunities, culture and tourism.

The Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games pushed British Columbia’s culture, tourism and economic opportunities to the centre of the world stage.

In fact, the 2010 Winter Games were the perfect occasion for businesses to develop new relationships, enhance their reputation and enable them to gain new experience and capacity.

To showcase and promote British Columbia’s businesses, communities, culture and tourism during the 2010 Winter Games and beyond, we turned Robson Square into one-stop centre for business, media and the public in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It truly was the heart of the Winter Games.

2010 Commerce Centre and BC Showcase

The 2010 Commerce Centre--at the heart of Robson Square--helped inform, educate and connect businesses to the economic opportunities of the Games.

Built to LEED Gold standards, featuring innovative multimedia displays of communities and leading industries from around the province, BC Showcase hosted business visitors, built business relationships and promoted awareness and recognition of B.C.'s competitive advantages during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
